I was tagged by my friend "Family Ghost." It was difficult trying to compile a list of the Top 10 albums of all time, but this is what I came up with:
1. Metallica: Master of Puppets. This was my introduction to Metallica, and to the thrash metal genre. When I was in 9th grade, in my drama class, each one of us had to put together a lipsync of our favorite song. One of my classmates named Klint King (no relation to Kerry) did his to "Welcome Home (Sanitarium). I thought it was cool how Metallica could vary it's speed and it's guitar sound to invoke emotion. They sounded as good fast and heavy as they did slow and melodic.

2. Metallica: ...And Justice For All. This is the one that really sealed the deal for me. Like many others, I saw the video for "One," and I was hooked. Once again, the speed and variation, the double-bass machine gun figure "Darkness! Imprisoning Me!..."I could be angry, sad, and hyper all at once. "Justice" was really the album that inspired me to act on my childhood fantasies and go out and buy a guitar and all the gear that goes with it and learn to play. "Justice" was the beginning of my musical journey.

Iron Maiden: Somewhere in Time. My intro to Iron Maiden. For a long time, I always thought that Iron Maiden were evil, and I found that they really weren't. I liked the use of synthesizers on this and "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. I really wish I could see these guys live. I've seen their videos, and they put on a heck of a stage show.

Van Halen: 1984. The very first rock cd I ever owned (cassette at that time). I remember watching Eddie Van Halen finger-tap his guitar solos and thinking that I was gonna grow up to be the next one. Such fantasies!

Queensryche: Operation: Mindcrime. Awesome music, awesome story line. Geoff Tate is one of my favorite rock/metal vocalists of all time. The story is a tragic one, and kind of begs for a sequel, which I understand now there's "Operation: Mindcrime II: Rock and Roll Redemption," which I've never heard.

Yngwie Malmsteen: Fire and Ice. I love hearing this guy play. Hearing him solo using techniques used by classical guitarists. Heavy, beautiful, melodic. Genius.

Suicidal Tendencies: Lights, Camera, Revolution. Another emotionally charged dose of metal. I love Robert Trujillo's slapping on the bass. As far as I'm concerned, he's the best bassist Suicidal Tendencies ever had.

Motley Crue: Shout at the Devil. My older sister, who was my babysitter at that time introduced me to Motley Crue. She'd have her radio set to 13 KNPA, which was the only AM Rock station at that time, and they'd play all the popular metal at that time. I remember \m/SHOUT\m/SHOUT\m/SHOUT\m/ SHOUT AT THE DEVIL!

Ozzy Osbourne: No Rest for the Wicked. Miracle Man, Fire in the Sky, Hero.

AC/DC Live. My sister took me to my first concert: AC/DC and Cinderella. It was the heatseeker tour, and I remember Angus Young leaping out of a rocket that came up from under the stage. Awesome show.

The concrete crew arrived late this afternoon to put down the moisture barrier and get most of the rebar in. They'll return in the morning to finish rebar in the patio and to form in.
Here you can see the moisture barrier (plastic) put down. It's a 6mil barrier. We bought one that was 20ft wide and 100ft long. A black plastic barrier (also 6mil) is 10ft wide and 100ft long. They had enough to cover everything, and then cut away plastic on top of the footings, and to cut out around the blockouts that I built around some of the plumbing. They cut holes to get down around the conduit and pipe sticking out of the floor.
